Bill's product was a kind of verification device using phone lines—a verification phone.

But then a pivot. The credit card industry was relatively new at the time and processing was still being done with carbon paper. Bill saw a way to reduce costs for companies like Visa and MasterCard, while capitalizing on this new technology. Instead of verifying checks, we would provide local businesses a means to electronically process credit card payments. The Verifone payment device was born.

Position Summary:

We are currently expanding SHA SSC to support more general accounting functions for Verifone entity located in US.

This role is responsible for: ?Providing support for general accounting ?Assist in the month end, quarter end and the year-end close process ?Prepare, code and record journal entries in GL ?Perform data balancing activities ?Review trial balance and reconcile / analyze all general ledger accounts ?Provide audit support specific to general accounting

?Provide Statutory audit support

?Perform GST/VAT/FBT return and Income tax return

Title: GL Accountant

Key purpose: To provide GL accounting service and support to New Zealand entity in a Shanghai Shared service center.

Your Essential Responsibilities:

• Develops, implements and/or maintains one or more accounting systems: Journal entries, General Ledger, GL Account Reconciliation, etc.

• Reviews and interprets financial reporting requirements, rules and regulations. Balances books and prepares profit and loss, cash flow, income and balance sheet statements.

• Prepare monthly flux report with analysis comments for controller review.

• Monitors and develops monthly reports of revenues and expenditures for projects. Provides record of assets, liabilities and other financial transactions.

• May assist in the setup of processes and procedures that properly capture, track and report revenue, including deferred revenue, in accordance with the company revenue recognition policy. May generate revenue reports for internal and/or external use.

• Ensuring accuracy and compliance with U.S. GAAP and other accounting regulations

Key Relationships: GL Manager, Entity Controller, Corp. Controller

Your Knowledge and Experience:

Skills / Abilities:

?3+ years similar accounting experience

?Strong communication skill, English is good in both oral and Written.

?SAP / ORACL experience
