What you will be doing

You are expected to be the expert in the domain of SAP Materials Management and SAP Sales Distribution (both integrated with metal solution), from a functional & configuration point of view.

The main responsibilities are split in three major areas:

1. SAP Implementation & Enhancement Projects in Umicore subsidiaries in the different APAC countries

  • Analyze the as-is processes of the company
  • Propose and facilitate organizational changes if appropriate and needed
  • Help key users migrate the old data to the new system
  • Help the key users to test the system and to realize system acceptance
  • Assist the key users with writing the necessary documentation
  • Implement and monitor the authorizations in the system so that sensitive and critical data/processes are protected
  • Keep the project manager(s) informed about project progress and issues

2. Optimize the system used in subsidiaries in the different countries of the Asia region running the SAP application, and help the subsidiaries to use the application in a more efficient way

  • Analyze and identify improvement & best practice areas within the organization (process, department, branch) within the region
  • Organize post implementation reviews and training sessions within the region
  • Implement additional functionalities (optimization and retrofitting)
  • Stimulate continuous improvement through benchmarking

3. Support from a functional & configuration point of view the SAP application in the different countries of the region

  • Follow up and resolve support cases, logged via our support portal
  • Assist and support Key/End Users in their daily job
  • Write functional specifications for new approved Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, Forms and Workflow (RICEFWs)
  • Keep customizing documentation up-to-date
  • Write test scenarios (e.g. Key User Training, User Acceptance Test, local legal requirements…)
  • Perform functional testing

Who we are looking for

  • Bachelor or Master degree or equivalent experience in IT technology.
  • 8 years of experience or above, with at least 5 proven project life cycles as external consultant and internal consultant.
  • In-depth knowledge of the Materials Management and Sales Distribution (functional and technical side), Microsoft office.
  • Knowledge and experience with robotics application (UI Path) and technology awareness are a plus.
  • Knowledge of Asian localizations is an asset.
  • Excellent command and fluency in English.
  • Cantonese is a plus.
  • Able to engage different stakeholders.
  • Proficient communication skills, including presentation skills.
  • Strong analytical and synthetic skills.
  • Change management skills
  • Result orientated, customer focused
  • Resistant to stress and coping with pressure and setbacks.
  • Team player.
