Purpose of position:     

To ensure the purchase Direct Material to reach efficient goals and service level assigned.

Commodity Buyer is owner of Purchase process for ‘Commodity Code’.

 

Job Responsibilities:

1. To choose the appropriate Supplier for new components.
2. To follow the Purchasing Request received from all departments, starting the sourcing activity.
3. To ensure efficiency in terms of time and cost for purchased components, defining assignment percent and Suppliers mixed.
4. To guarantee to follow the Company Purchase Procedures.
5. To propose new Suppliers and to update information on Company Supplier List.
6. Responsible for yearly price negotiation with relevant suppliers.
7. Other tasks by manager.

  Job Requirements:

1. College or University diploma holder with major in Mechanical Engineering or Business related principle;
2. Min 5 years relevant working experiences preferably in a Foreign Invested Company;
3. Good knowledge of PPAP, APQP, order & contract management, cost analysis, project management and supplier management;
4. Basic knowledge of FMEA/SPC/MSA/VDA 6.3/ISO/TS 16949/8D;
5. Good communication and negotiation skill is required;
6. Fluent English both is written and oral;
7. Proficient in using PC software;
