Mission:
WiZ is a leading WiFi based smart lighting control system. We connect and control lighting products through our App and cloud, for our own brand as well as lighting products from other leading lighting brands all across the globe.
We are seeking a qualified senior Firmware Engineer with strong expertise to grow and consolidate our innovative product development team.

You will need to conduct firmware development projects with a strong sense of time, cost and quality. Understanding of available technologies: Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Bluetooth mesh as well as an ability to build good technical relationship with the internal team and external partners is essential.

We are looking for someone that is organized and can help take forward our existing product, and its large code base legacy.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze technical requirements, develop and build firmware components
• Work on wireless connectivity (Wi-Fi, BLE) platform for the lighting control system
• Work on embedded software, in lighting and control products
• Participate in specification, design and implementation review with peers
• Write and review engineering design, code and documentation
• Work closely with the Apps and Cloud developers to support the design and development of new functions/features as well as complete new product ranges
• Engage in our agile development process, and help deliver firmware packages on schedule

Requirements:

• Master or Bachelor's degree in Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, software engineering, or related discipline.
• A proven 3+ years working experience on Software development (ideally embedded/firmware)
• Strong skillset in C/C++ programming, and debugging
• Familiar with Wi-Fi / Bluetooth, UDP/TCP/IP/MQTT , etc…
• Familiar with hardware interface like GPIO, PWM, I2C, I2S, UART, SPI etc...
• Familiar with embedded OS (freeRTOS, embedded linux etc.), including memory management, system call, process scheduling, IPC, etc.
• Understand software quality assurance, testing and validation methodology
• Autonomous, methodical, and solution focused
• Good verbal and written communication skills (English, Mandarin is a big plus)
