About the role

What you need to know:

Purpose of this position

  • With AIG’ rapidly growing ambition to sharpen our integrated marketing focus, and to support the growth of A&H business on digital direct channels, we seek marketing practitioner with a deep understanding and broad practical experience in digital communications, e-commerce marketing and, traditional direct marketing channels. This person t will help position AIG as a customer centric insurer, clearly articulation the features and benefits of our products and services and deliver integrated message that support our individual personal accident business
  • This role will work closely with the Head of digital to develop a suite of campaigns and communication materials that are consistent, compelling and, by using available customer, brand insights, build consideration of AIG China in the mind of existing and potential customers.
  • Reporting to the Head of Digital – China, this role will be accountable for the growth of A&H ( across, but not limited to all Digital direct , digital partners and telemarketing channels )

Financial

  • Develop and manage all A&H marketing programs. Using a test and learn methodology, regularly share findings and identify campaign optimization opportunities to fulfill key growth, marketing allowable (profitability) and efficiency goals.
  • Oversee expenses to ensure effective utilization of marketing, enablement and project spends, ensuring that appropriate tracking and benefit realization is managed.
  • Enforce standards related to meeting budget commitments, marketing efficiencies and related marketing benchmarks.
  • Good knowledge of financial aspects of digital, direct and partner marketing campaign management, including budgeting, revenue generation, direct and indirect expenses.
  • Work closely with internal business units to ensure A&H digital strategy is aligned with product and country strategies and are in compliance with prevailing governance standards.

Campaign Development

  • Define, lead, execute and manage the ongoing creation of integrated customer communications across all distribution and service channels and all digital medias
  • Lead and manage the integrated marketing strategy and daily operation for A&H business across digital direct channels and external media to continually optimize the brand & sales performance
  • Develop customer-centric marketing strategy and membership programs for various customer segments based on the customer insights through customer data analysis.
  • Create and manage customer communications that are informed by, and leverage customers insights from previous research, NPS results, AIG China brand tracker as well as from product development research.
  • Develop digital marketing communications strategy that covers the full customer lifecycle from acquisition, growth, retention and service.
  • Ensure the management of the end-to-end marketing discipline that leverages insights, data & analytics, processes and technology practices to maximize the effectiveness and efficiency of digital marketing initiatives.
  • Constantly pursue marketing opportunities through effective leverage of customer insights, customer feedback mechanisms, digital tools, data and analytics to heighten digital customer experience and financial goals.

Build and optimize DM capability and Tele-marketing management

  • Define the telemarketing channel opportunities that would support the overarching AIG China A&H strategy.
  • Design and plan marketing campaigns which can leverage the capability of tele-marketing outbound call center team focusing on leads, contact rates and conversion rates.
  • Manage the outbound call center team to improve the marketing efficiency on test-and-learn basis
  • Build up and continually enhance the capability on outbound call center team through setting up and reviewing the KPI for outbound call center team
  • Lead the budget allocation and sales planning and manage the daily operation on tele-marketing campaigns

Campaign Implementation

  • Deliver digital communications that are product specific and also meet the needs of all AIG China digital distribution channels including (but not limited to) Agency, Sponsor marketing, digital marketing and aig.com.cn website content.
  • Work with key stakeholders to ensure content is accurate and reflects customer, product, distribution, legal and compliance requirements.
  • While accountable for the content of marketing campaigns, ensure that there is strong integrated between marketing campaigns (including script positioning) and customer communications in order to deliver a seamless branded experience.
  • Able to evaluate creative and content designs and provide thoughtful feedback.
  • Able to adapt to changes within customer communications approaches and within an increasingly digital marketing landscape.
  • Solid understanding of the digital marketing environment, including web, mobile, media and advertising.
  • Excellent communication skills, interpersonal skills and the ability to work with technical and non-technical business groups across the company.
  • A solid understanding of analytics, measuring and interpreting key campaign metrics and tracking tools.

Agency Management

  • Able to build and maintain productive and efficient relationships with key creative and design agencies.
  • Develop and maintain processes for the development of material - cost efficiently managing the costs of production and revisions and ensuring adherence to briefs.
  • Ensure that identified strategic agencies build knowledge of AIG business and processes to improve the quality of communication material.


What we’re looking for:

  • 2-7 years’ work experience with solid understanding of Digital Marketing campaign implementation, analysis and financial management (with a particular focus on Search Engine Marketing)
  • Strong experience on outbound call center team management or tele-marketing campaign management
  • Outstanding skills in commercial strategy development and execution across channels and platforms.
  • Excellent Project Management skills and demonstrated ability to function as a digital leader within a cross-functional organization.
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt digital marketing tactics in response to technology developments as they arise.
  • Solid understanding of the marketing landscape including web, mobile, content management, video, voice, tools and advertising.
  • A creative thinker with an innovative approach to problem solving, which is outcomes driven
  • strong written and verbal communication skills, able to communicate concepts and plans in both English and Mandarin
  • Excellent business analysis ability. Good working knowledge managing financial aspects of the marketing including budgeting, sales revenue, expense management.
  • Mature and proven track record in working independently and collaboratively with minimal guidance.
  • An outcome-driven, creative thinker with an innovative bent to problem solving.
  • Strong knowledge of competitor or “best in class” functionality and a keen ability to prioritize tasks to deliver quick yet meaningful results.
  • Insurance and/or financial institution experience highly desired – specifically Accident & Health insurance products.
