Main Responsibilities:

1. Follow up and monitor global service contract with carriers, set up the cost data base of China ocean with regular review/update
2. Collect and analyse the market information and feedback the same with ocean product leader and overseas. To share market information with regional sales team and get sales feedback to market so as to ensure our pricing can be competitive.
3. Build up and enhance the relationship with carriers.
4. Build up and secure pricing from local carriers/co-loaders
5. Facilitate and contribute the development of procurement at South China
6. Overall monitor carrier support on space towards our contract and feedback result with proposal to ocean product leader timely
7. Build up and develop right level relationship with carriers within South China region aiming for the best cost procurement and space protection toward core carrier strategy and in support of target deliverable
8. Tender & RFQ at South China region at the same time to handle tender & RFQ from overseas
9. Secure competitive spot quotation for South China ocean team through synergising our total ocean volume performance cross our ocean products
10. Continue seek for feedback from branch ocean leader about product position
In order to ensure our ocean product can be kept as competitive as we always should in the market place to support ocean growth
11.Work with agent as the focal contact window to strengthen the relationship and coordinate between agent and China office.

Measurement / successful criteria:

1. University graduated with at least 8 years working experience in international freight forwarder company
2. Familiar with the Ocean Market and sensitive with the rate
3. Good communication and negotiation skills
4. Excellent English and PC skill
5. Good relationship with carriers and co-loaders
6. Ability to drive and execute global procurement strategy (%)
7. Local contract sign off with competitive pricing to secure both spot and local carrier contract deal (number of TEU)
8. Timely responses to the overseas tender, no later than 24hrs. Urgent RFQ or RFQ from local team should be replied immediately
9. Number of successful quotation (number of TEU)
10. Ability to secure additional SPACE in peak season (opportunity loss owing to lack of space)
