DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Translate customer CTQ into solution and work with electrical engineer to deliver engineering package on time.

Responsibilities include specification and procurement of mechanical equipment

Prepares configuration drawings and performs calculations for detail design of pressure vessel/skid.

Develop accurate documentation including but not limited to Bill of Material, specifications, equipment datasheet, assembly instructions, installation instructions, Operation & Maintenance manuals, to enable the correct manufacture / assembly / installation / testing of equipment by others.

Develop civil guideline drawing, GA, piping routing, pipe rack, tank, vessel, frame, skid and P&ID drawing.

Responsible for specification and appropriate material selection to the design. proactively regular liaison with process engineer, site engineer, sourcing teams and supplier.

Meets with clients’ technical staff to discuss technical information and features.

Prepares equipment specifications, inquiry and purchase requisitions.

Evaluates vendors' bids and drawings to assure compliance with specifications.

Provide value engineering support on engineering labor cost, material cost, footprint and GA drawings to Application engineer on critical bids project.

Communicates equipment design to client and other design disciplines.

Participates in plant Start-ups.

Participates in vendor qualification.

Any other work as required.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED BY THE CANDIDATE TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS POSITION INCLUDE:

Configuration drawing development of vessels/skids and specification, evaluation and selection of rotating equipment for purchase along with review of vendor data and equipment design documentation for compliance to specifications including witnessing of shop testing.

A working knowledge of industry codes and standards including: GB, ASME, API and other relevant machinery standards.

Solid understanding of fluid dynamics, principles of turbomachinery design and materials of construction.

Knowledge of instrumentation requirements and control systems related to the various types of rotating equipment.

Knowledge of machinery packaging, skid design and equipment support related to rotating equipment as related to WW plant installations.

Ability to perform engineering calculations and the use sizing programs for vessels and rotating equipment.

Teamworking capability with the ability to seek out, organize and share knowledge.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor or above degree in Mechanical/Water Supply and Drainage Engineering is preferred.

Requires a minimum of 3 years’ experience in Mechanical static and rotating Equipment (pumps, compressors, etc.) or related functional area (or equivalent working knowledge/experience) in water or WW industry.

Experience must be directly related to development of P&ID, GA and piping based on process design input and detail engineering design of vessels/skids and sizing all types of pumps, valves in the execution of water related projects.

Strong technical background in water system design. Experience in membrane filtration, UPW or ZLD technology is required

Must have competent AutoCAD skills, 2D and 3D modeling abilities, excellent attention to detail.

SAP and solidworks experience and operation would be desirable.

Ability to travel when required.

Basic English communication skill.    

Ability to read, analyze and interpret client specifications, technical procedures and codes and standards.

Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals.

Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of clients, managers, designers and engineers.
