Our client is a WFOE located in Shanghai. The HQ′s is a family company from Germany producing premium products “Made in Germany” with more than 125 years history. The Chinese company is since 2005 focusing on micro-layer corrosion protection systems for different markets like automobile, railway and industrial markets. The main targets are technical support/consultation for the whole supply chain and proper supply of goods.

After the HQ′s changed the structure and merged all three business units producing coatings together the Chinese company plans to sell functional construction paints in China. For that the Chinese company is looking for an experienced Business Development Manager in the field of functional construction paints with passion and sales attitude.

Your Responsibilities

Business Development Manager

• BDM is responsible for the strategic and operational development for new markets and new industries in which our products could be used. 
• BDM proposes new business fields and drafts a raw penetration strategy to the GM. After the approval the BDM works out a detailed business plan including but not limited to market research, first customers visit plans, targets of sales, time line, definition of needed support, pricing, budget… etc. 
• The BDM should be able to think out of the box and try new ways to generate future company success.
• Frequent traveling to get first hand impressions is mandatory
• Create new business with new products in new industries
• Build client relationship and expand client networks by regular client visits and meetings
• Analyze and understand new markets (market research) incl. the competitors 
• Following industry trends locally and internationally
• Find new customers and partners
• Monitoring and reporting the status of the business plan
• Drafting and evaluating contracts

Your Qualifications

Professionally

• Bachelor's degree in business administration; architect, construction engineer 
  
• ？2 years above working experience
  
• Excellent understanding of business and Industry Trends and ability to interpret the trends relevant to the business
  
• Excellent analytical skills in assessing and interpreting customer business data
  
• Hold a valid driver's license with favourable driving record, and able to assess to a vehicle
  
• ？Having an existing network of architects and project companies for construction
  
• ？Fluent in English (spoken and written)
  
• ？Proficiency in Microsoft Office, familiar with Lotus Notes or other similar organization systems.
