Package: Competitive salary range between RMB 8,500 – RMB 9,000 based on matched qualification and experiences

Introduction to the Role
As Membership & Events Executive you will play a key role supporting our community of member companies in Beijing. Our member companies include the UK’s largest businesses as well as many dynamic small to mid-sized companies exporting to China or operating in-market.
The objective of the role is to grow CBBC’s membership through delivering a high-quality programme of events and support to ensure retention of existing members and recruitment of new companies.
CBBC’s membership and events team sits at the centre of our team working closely with our Policy, Business Environment, Government Relations, and sector teams, who provide much of the access, analysis, and advice we offer, in both the UK and China. The role requires an energetic, well-organised, and collaborative individual with a passion for events and building member communities.
Key Responsibilities
Support the Director, China Membership Programme & Events remotely to execute membership strategy, roll out new initiatives, engage with members and analyse membership data.
Support the Assistant Director, Membership & Events, to develop, plan, and deliver a strong events programme for our community of member companies in Beijing. CBBC’s events programme includes small-scale activities such as regular roundtables for premium members, seminars, as well as large-scale forums and receptions
Support the promotion of members events, including but not limited to drafting member event post, flyer and sponsorship package
Manage CBBC’s pipeline of potential member companies for Beijing (and North China) and support the wider team to identify and recruit new member companies
Coordinate with CBBC’s finance team to manage renewals of existing members and the recruitment process for on-boarding new members
Handle enquiries from existing members and prospect member companies in Beijing
Coordinate with our Policy, Business Environment, Government Relations, and sector teams to ensure Beijing-based members are receiving access to our full range of support services
Support CBBC’s Marketing & Communications team to produce member communications including coordinating information collection from our members for CBBC’s newsletters, FOCUS website and other marketing channels
Manage CBBC’s key contacts at member companies in Beijing and maintain our CRM
Job Requirements

Experience of building and managing member communities a plus
Confident facing external stakeholders
Passionate about business
Self-motivated with a proactive attitude towards problem-solving and responding positively to change
Understanding of the challenges facing foreign businesses in China
Good command of both written and spoken English – Chinese language skills desirable
Strong IT skills – competency in office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Outlook)
Minimum of 1-3 years’ working experience in an international environment
Bachelor’s degree or above

Benefits and conditions of employment
CBBC offer competitive packages which include basic gross salary, social insurance (CBBC cover both employee and company contributions), medical insurance, and generous leave entitlement.
The gross annual package for this position is RMB 110K – RMB 117K with annual pro rata leave entitlement of 22-days for Chinese nationals.
