The Shoes Technician will work in collaboration with the different Product and Sourcing Teams in order to fulfill the requirements in terms of Technicity, Quality and Cost.

He will be involved all along the development and the production of the product and should be able to bring its technical supports internally and to the Manufacturers.

SUPPLIER INTEGRATION

- Participate to the decision to Integrate a new Factory/ Supplier by a Technical Assessment (Sampling, Production)

- Train the Supplier/ Factory on the Technical Requirements of AUCHAN

SUPPORT DURING DEVELOPMENT STEPS

Work as one team with the Merchandisers

In collaboration with the Product and the Sourcing Team, guide and support the concerned Assortment/ Styles/ Suppliers to focus on at the following stage.

REQUEST FOR DEVELOPMENT

• If any RSIP/Shopping:
• BringTechnical Advises on the feasibility of the Request (upon Merchandiser demand)
• Last management ( not 1st season) :
• Last library available
• New last to study on big volume
• Work on items with issues
• Bring a Technical Support to the Supplier on the understanding of the RSIP requirements (upon Merch/ Supplier request) (only as a Support)

COUNTER REVIEW

• Collect, analyse and assess the feasibility of the Product Manager’s / Modelist’s comments on 1st Counter (concerned Assortment/ styles/ supplier to focus on must be specified earlier).Modelist and she technician will work on different assortment, will be complementary.
• Bring his expertise in Cost Impact (upon request of the merchandiser)

• Assess the conformity of the Revised Counter(if any), advise Counter Comments to Supplier if needed/ Visit the Factory for “on Spot Correction”

• Need to be synchronized on requirements so need to come to attend the 2 first seasons collection meeting in France.

CONFORMITY SAMPLE (and revised CONFORMITY SAMPLE)

• Assess the Conformity of the of CONFORMITY SAMPLE in terms of Workmanship, Material Quality and Fitting (Focus on the Last conformity)
• Assess the Respect of the Quality Standards requirement
• Advise comments to both Product Team and Suppliers
• Visit Supplier/ Factory if needed for “On Spot Correction”

• Technical/ Fitting Approval of the CONFORMITY SAMPLE might be delegated to him (upon Product Manager Agreement) .According to delegation rules.

PPS (and revised PPS)

• Assess the Conformity of the PP SAMPLE in terms of Workmanship, Material Quality and Fitting
• Focus on the Last and construction conformity
• Advise comments to both Product Team and Suppliers
• Visit Supplier/ Factory if needed for “On Spot Correction”

• Technical/ Fitting Approval of the PPS SAMPLE might be delegated to him (upon Product Manager Agreement)

SUPPLIERS & SEASON REVIEW

• Twice a Year (1/season), participate to the Supplier Review with the Product, Merchandising and Quality Team. Assessment of the Sampling/ Development Skills of the Suppliers/Factories of the past Season
• Ensure Feedback & follow up Action Plan on the Main Quality issues encountered (Feedback on Store Survey & DIRQUA) of the past Season

ELABORATION OF PROCESS & TOOL

The Shoes technician should bring his expertise and experience in the continuous Improvement of the actual Process & Tools (Development & Sampling process, Fitting Checking Process, Quality Checking process, sample assessment format …)

• Focus on the Development and Implementing of a Local Fitting Process:
• Define SOP
• Define Methodology
• Create the Tools
• Define the Model Requirements and Proceed to the recruitment of Models

• Focus on the Definition of Relevant Quality Standards, in adequation with our requirements.

MAIN INTERLOCUTORS

• Under the Supervising of the Office Quality Manager
• Work as a team with the Merchandisers Team
• Strong and weekly collaboration with the Product Team based in France

PROFILE

LEVEL OF EXPERIENCE

• Minimum 10 years’ Experience as Shoes Technician
• Minimum 3 Years’ experience in Sourcing Office as Shoes Technician/ Fitting In Charge/
• Min 4 years’ experience in factory as Qc/ Technician / Sample Master

KNOWLEDGES
