SOL-MILLENNIUM Medical Group is a young, highly entrepreneurial global healthcare company dedicated to the research and development, manufacture and distribution of high-quality medical devices that support best clinical practice whilst protecting healthcare workers and their patients from the risks associated with needlestick injury. Purpose of the Position

The Sales Manager-Retail is responsible for establishing and growing accounts with regional or global retailers in APAC. This is both a building and hands-on account management role. The individual must thrive in two key ways: first as a business developer with responsibility for identifying and originating significant new business with the regional or global buying offices of major Asian or global retailers. This business should result in sales of private label or Sol-M branded products. Second, as these accounts grow in volume, the Sales Manager must expand touch points and build opportunities with more products, categories, or geographic markets.

The Sales Manager will establish and own customer account plans and budgets, working closely with marketing and category management teams to formulate pricing, product, and distribution strategy. The Account Manager needs to work collaboratively with teams in customer support, logistics, sourcing, and QARA.

  • Building sustainable Retail accounts - Build and manage long-term regional and global account relationships. Work with procurement and the customer’s marketing teams to identify needs, align value propositions, set performance goals, forecast sales, negotiate pricing, expand customer touchpoints, identify future product opportunities, deal with complaints and performance problems.
  • Sales Revenue and expense management - Meet or exceed annual revenue and GP plan, and operational expense budgets. Play a key role in building the revenue and expense budgets for Retail Accounts; find opportunities to drive improvements in COGS, forecasting, and delivery.
  • Planning and Strategy - Work with APAC, EMEA, and NACA retail sales teams and Global Marketing to drive improvements in data collection, implementation of Salesforce, customer insights, and expansion of product portfolio
  • Cross-functional collaboration - Work closely with internal and external stakeholders such as marketing, quality assurance, regulatory affairs, sourcing, supply chain and logistics.
  • Process improvements - Perform periodic assessments of performance; recommend and implement improvements in forecasting and back-end sales operations; inventory management; pricing strategies; market data and insights.

Essential qualifications - University degree.

Desirable qualifications - Master/MBA or equivalent program with focus on Sales & Marketing management.

Work Experience & Skills

· At least 5 years’ sales experience calling on the buying offices of major regional or global retailers.

· Category must have experience in OTC products, health and beauty, PPE, pharmacy, wound care, or other related products categories.

· Strategic-thinking skills, ability to develop and implement a business plan.

· Strong at contracting, negotiating and managing key accounts.

· Experience in account planning, marketing strategies, new product launches, and online customer acquisition and relationship strategies.

· Problem-solving and analytical skills to interpret sales performance and market trend information.

· Implementation of Salesforce or another major CRM software.

· Consultative selling and sophisticated account management experience.

· Directly reports to General Manager-APAC

· Key stakeholders including Sales, Operations, Marketing, Sourcing, Logistics, and Finance functions.
