Job Description - Duties & Responsibilities
1 The Project Manager of GCB shall assist the GCB Director in ensuring that projects are effectively and profitably carried out, meeting the client’s requirements and the Company’s contractual obligations.
2 Assist the GCB Director in pre and post contract award organization, planning, programming, monitoring, risk management and contingency planning.
3 To develop detailed technical and operational plans, procedures and other project documentation, ensuring adherence to all company, statutory and safety regulations.
4 To develop the Project Budget and Financial Plan and submit to the Finance Department.
5 Plan, specify, control and manage subcontract services and facilities within budget constraints.
6 Provide a weekly project status report to the GCB Director.
7 Provide a monthly report, including operations, equipment and financial status to the GCB Director on the status of live projects that the Project Manager is responsible for.
8 Provide technical support, programs and solutions to the Commercial Managers for customer RFQs and during the bid stages of a project.
9 Responsible for providing post-project audits and for lessons learnt and other initiatives, to implement continuous improvement in quality if delivery and efficiency.
10 Adhere to the Project specific Terms of Reference
11 Ensure project management works are carried out in compliance with the company ISO9001:2000 Quality System’s and SMS’ requirement.
Qualification
1 Well educated with a good offshore engineering or ship engineering, and have the knowledge and working experiences in offshore installation.
2 Excellent spoken, written and reading ability in English.
3 Have good communication, coordinating, management and planning skills.
4 Demonstrate both practical and contractual awareness, financial knowledge and negotiation skills.
5 Ability to work unsupervised, make decisions and take responsibility.
