Indirect Commodity Buyer Asia Procurement is responsible for commodity strategies development and execution in the region, this role will report to Manager Asia procurement. This role will focus on the supplier base development, supplier management and sourcing of dedicate indirect commodities (mainly injection/blow molded tool and Gauge/Fixture) during project purchasing phase. This role will support both local/global projects, and support LCC sourcing strategies with headquarter functions/global operations.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

• Identify and manage a world-class supply base to support business objectives and company's product roadmaps.

• Negotiate best terms and conditions to meet profitability objectives.

• Develop and maintain long term supplier relationships that provide competitive advantages such as lowest cost, excellent quality and superior customer service. Participate in supply china strategies and engage with suppliers to support supply chain requirements.

• Work closely with the supply chain team to assure supply availability.

• Drive total cost ownership and continuous cost reduction with suppliers.

• Formulate, maintain and distribute tool cost profile at component level

• Participate as an active member of cross-functional team to support on-time launch of Asia & LCC projects.

• Conduct product and technology scouting to identify and present new product and technology opportunities to Product Management.

• Monitor and evaluate industry supply trends. Stay on top of trend data of raw material supply and pricing. Analyze, predict and prevent adverse capacity constraints or material price increases.

• Survey and certify new suppliers in conjunction with Supplier Quality, R&D/Engineering team. Audit supplier conformance to quality, capacity and cost commitments.

• Represent and maintain Company's brand and values to the supply base with highest level of integrity and ethics.

QUALIFICATIONS :

• Bachelor Degree or above in Engineering/Sciences or other applicable fields.

• 5+ years’ experience in Automotive Purchasing or Project management area.

• Experiences of injection/blow molded tool cost structure

• Good English ability, both written and oral

• Strong negotiation and communication skills.

• Supplier and project management (Injection/Blow molded tool, Gauge/Fixture) experiences.

Solid product and market knowledge of Interior/Exterior systems or AIS/HVAC systems
