Job Description:

  

• Report Line: Lead Product Engineer

• Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for technical product definition and process feasibility, in line with customer specification, program planning, quality and costs targets;

  • RFQ Phase: analyses customer requirements, define best proposal, realize benchmark, coordinate prediction work and CAD work, create DVP with experts and testing teams, create the initial BOM, validate product performance targets, involve critical tier 2.

  • During Development Phase: Lead cross functional review, lead VA/VE workshop;

  • Manage a program file in product data management (PDM), with all design changes, ECN history;

  • Manage technical aspects of a program: prepare and update other program related technical documentation;

  • Ensure that the technical convergence plan meets product quality and costs targets;

  • Lead DFMEA study;

  • Control the tolerance stack up study realized by CAD team and release GD&T drawing from CAD team;

  • Liaise with industrial engineer so that product and process characteristics are under control when production is launched;

  • He/she is the interface with the customer's engineering team and obtain customer agreement on design.

    Job Specification / required skills:

    • Bachelor degree or above, major in  mechanical Engineering field related;

    • 4+ year’s product experience in automotive interior components-like floor console, seat/headrest, IP & Door trim;

    • Good knowledge on material selection, especially metal material/process;

    • Skillful in office software, familiar with Catia or UG CAD software;

    • Good communication skills and good teamwork spirit;

    • Be familiar with UG/CATIA CAD software;

    • Good spoken English and communication with customer;

    • Be familiar with at least one OEM development process.
