Key Responsibilities:

1. Programme Support

While programmes are running, you are based at the reception in the heart of the school. You are responsible for a number of critical processes, including:

·           Answering enquiries from parents, pupils and staff, helping them resolve any issues

·           Getting the planned attendance lists and handing these over to staff (vendors and our own faculty)

·           Receiving the actual attendance lists from staff

·           Supervising children transfer and awaiting collection whose parents/guardians are late

·           Providing an end of day report to the Manager

·           Handling any emergencies (accident, fire, other) in line with your training

·           Supporting for potential new needs of the programmes

2. Customer Service

Every day, customers (parents of children who attend our programmes) make contact with queries.

You respond promptly to these enquiries. Where possible, you resolve the matter  as first contact of point, for instance by processing the change of course or providing the information needed. In more complex cases, you transfer the request to another person (typically the Programme Manager) and give the customer a reassuring reply and a timescale for resolution.

3. School Liaison

The Programme Officer liaises with the school office or other personnel at each campus to gather time critical information for the day.

4. Administration

The EPSP team is a busy one! In line with your skills and available time from the core work listed above, you may be given additional tasks to assist the rest of the team.

5. Hours:

This is a full time role

You are deployed 5 days a week in line with the needs of the business

School days (Monday to Friday in term time) are 0930 – 1800.

Weekends can be any time 0830 to 1700

School holidays can be any time 0800 to 1800

6. Leave:

Two days off each week (may or may not be on the weekend)

Flexible annual leave as per statutory entitlement

National holidays as standard

Job requirements:

2. Junior College Degree or above

3. Previous work experience in a customer service environment is desirable but not essential

4. Core business skills:

• Fluent in Chinese, speaking and writing to the very high standard required of customer-facing employees in an outstanding bilingual school.
• Excellent level of English, speaking and writing to the very high standard required of customer-facing employees in an outstanding bilingual school.
• Excellent standard of grooming and personal presentation
• Confident user of email, messaging, computers and phones
• Very well organised
• Fast worker
• Able to work unsupervised

5. People skills

• Clear communicator in person, on the phone and through electronic media
• Polite, friendly to make customers feel welcome and supported
• Assertive where necessary, able to handle very demanding or even unreasonable customers
• Confident and effective in dealing with children
• Confident and calm dealing effectively with upset or worried people in the event of an emergency
