·         Ensure successful delivery of group own brand unique projects with agreed group design and product specification within preset timeframe.

    

·         Establish and maintain close working relationship with group design team, group engineering team, and the vendors to ensure that the design/technical requirements from group design/engineering are executed with vendor as long as they are technically and commercially feasible.

    

·         Ensure effective communications with all relevant stakeholders to settle the conflicts/technical issues in time.

    

·         Establish and maintain NPD 3 Year Plan to align with commercial objectives of the business.

    

·         Effectively manage and direct the team on a day to day basis

    

·         Ensure the team is motivated and well-trained and equipped to execute their assigned tasks

    

·         Develop and coach members of the team; perform regular performance appraisals, 1-1 meetings with sub-ordinates; recruit when needed;

    

·         Assign the projects properly and ensure resource/technical competence is available

·         Establish and execute NPD procedure, ensure proper documentation is maintained; constantly optimize NPD working practices and enhance processes where possible;

Job Requirements:

* 5 - 10 years new product development experience, preferably in branded electrical household appliance manufacturers; at least 3 years management experience;

* Excellent influential and communication skills, strong Interpersonal skills, technically competent, commercially focused, Excellent leadership and people management skills;

* Broad technical understanding of a diverse number of manufacturing techniques and processes related to products;

* Fluently written and spoken English and Cantonese and/or Mandarin;

* Assertive, lateral thinker, problem solver, decisive, adaptable, goal oriented, self motivated, team player;

* 10% Europe, 60% China.
