Job Description - Duties & Responsibilities   

1. To account manage and interface with customers and contribute positively in bidding and winning business deals, to ensure the company business plan and objectives are achieved.

2. To plan and produce commercial inputs in bid reviews and to source and assist in evaluating project sub-contractors in bidding/proposal stage.

3. To lead or assist in producing the bidding/proposal response to customers, and answering the customers questions and follow through such responses.

4. To provide reference to decision-makers in the company by comparing and analyzing varied commercial opportunities.

5. To actively interface with customers in the contract negotiation process and help draw up, evaluate and reviewing commercial contracts with suppliers and customers.

6. To help project managers understand the contract and communicate with the customers during the implementation of the contract.  To assist in revising and supplementing the contract if required.

7. To assist in the post bid review process in order to learn lessons from win/loss of the opportunities.  To assist and participate in the post project audits and to contribute and recommend solutions/corrective actions for non-conformances.

8. To help forming good working relationships with both strategic partners and key customers to ensure delivery of a high quality service.

9. To actively participate in the teamwork regarding market intelligence and improvement of the good images for the company.

10. To keep abreast of the submarine cable systems technologies and market trends.  Assist the Commercial Director in provision of the reports such as industry, customer and competitor analysis when required.

11. To plan and develop the relative bidding and subcontract processes and procedures within the Commercial Team that meets the company quality standards.

12. To ensure bids are proposed in accordance with the company QA System requirements.

13.  To carry out any other duties as assigned by the Commercial Director.

Qualifications

1. Sound academic qualification preferable with minimum four years general working experience and minimum two years work experience in commercial job.

2. High analytical ability and good planning/interpersonal/communications/negotiation skills.

3. Basic ability of budgeting and financial analysis.

4. Good understanding of Contract and Risk Management.

5. Ability to build rapport with customers and various stakeholders.

  6.  To be fluent in oral and written English and/or Chinese according to different project requirements.
