POSITION SUMMARY:

The Regional Accountant is responsible for controlling financials, accounting, administrative needs, including preparation of financial statements by applying diverse local GAAP principals in Greater China and South-East Asia as well as Company accounting policies.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILTIES:

General Accounting, Finance & Controlling Responsibilities:

• Manage month end closings

• Balance sheet reconciliations

• Manages and prepares all financial reports and reconciliations of local and regional financial data

• Serves as primary government liaison related to financial issues

• Cash Forecasts

• Monitors and analyzes monthly operating results against budget

• Lead 1 team member

  Operations in Greater China and Singapore:

• Prepare / manage FY 2020 audit process including coordination with external auditors

• Manage month end closings

• Balance sheet reconciliations

• Tax monthly & quarterly filing

• Send quarterly sales commission

• Prepare journal entries in monthly/quarterly/yearly closing (i.e. Depreciation, amortization etc.)

• other Ad-hoc task

  Operations in Korea and Japan:

• Prepare / manage FY 2020 audit process including coordination with external auditors

• Balance sheet reconciliations

• Algin with local accountants

• Review and approve the journals in NetSuite during monthly/quarterly/yearly closing

• Other ad hoc task

QUALIFICATIONS:

Educational background and professional experience

• Has a University degree in Management Accounting & Controlling, Finance, Management, Business Administration or any related relevant subject

• Possesses approximately 8 years of experience in managing assignments/projects in the area of Controlling, Financial Analysis and Accounting, ideally already in a technology-driven corporate setting

Required skills

• Demonstrates excellent project management, process as well as accounting and controlling skills, with sound understanding of IFRS, relevant local Asian GAAP and their application

• Offers sound analytical abilities combined with a structured, solution-oriented and high quality deliverables approach

• Shows high proficiency in communications and work organization

• Possesses the ability to drive organizations and project teams to targeted results and possesses a proven track record in a Financial leadership role

• Is a team worker – Works well with others and under pressure, builds positive and professional relationships within and across teams, and supports colleagues when and where necessary

• Demonstrates the proven ability to develop and maintain effective work relationships with both Finance and business counterparts

• Demonstrates a results-oriented and proactive personality with a global perspective and understanding of multiple cultures

• Demonstrates a pronounced ability to prioritize workload

• Is able and willing to work in international matrix organizations

• Demonstrates fluency in Mandarin and English, which is required

• Must be proficient in a variety of computer software applications, including MS Word, Outlook and Power Point. Excellent Excel skills are required

• A CPA or any Audit firm background are preferred
