Job Summary:
Supervises and coordinates activities of personnel engaged in performing chemical and physical tests required forquality control of processes and products by performing the following duties.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1/Manages assistant managers and supervisors who supervise all employees in the laboratory.
2/Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of this unit.
3/Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. 4/Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:
1/Ability to read, analyzes, and interprets general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
2/Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
3/Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.


REASONING ABILITY:
1/Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
2/Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
1/Prefer bachelor's degree from four-year College or university
2/Five to ten years related experience and/or training
3/Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
