Summary
The IHS Directory of Chemical Producers provides information about chemical manufacturing facilities worldwide including the name and ownership of the manufacturing company, plant locations, and specific chemicals made at each site. This position will be responsible for information about companies operating
chemical facilities in China.

General Job Duties
Update information about Chinese chemical manufacturing companies for publication to clients. This includes direct communication with the manufacturing companies in addition to review of internal and external information sources.

Specific Job Duties
·Research and update information for publication in the IHS Directory of Chemical Producers (DCP) - China
·Monitor trade literature for changes to company information (e.g., company name, ownership, plant locations, chemicals manufactured, start-ups, expansions, closures, etc.)
·Research company Websites for updates or to develop new listings.
·Contact Chinese chemical companies to verify and develop information and to resolve research questions.
·Review other IHS Chemical data sources for new and updated information
·Collaborate with other IHS Chemical databases for internal consistency
·Organize research material
·Respond quickly to questions needed for client inquiries or upcoming publication deadlines
·Ensure research is high quality, accurate, complete and current
·Prepare research results in a standardized format.

Required Education & Experience
Bachelor's degree. Science degree (Chemistry or Biological Sciences preferred) or equivalent experience a plus
1-3 years of full-time working experience, preferably in a detailed oriented environment
