Job Description:

• Audit all new suppliers' quality systems and production processes to ensure reliable/competent supply base in line with the QA and Sourcing Strategy.
• Regularly visit, review, guide suppliers/factories to ensure they continue to have the capabilities to meet our technical and quality standards.
• Proactively work with suppliers to train and guide them on SDS technical and cosmetic standards.
• Ensure adherence to critical path to avoid unnecessary delays to shipments.
• Support the Quality Manager and Head of Quality in progressing strategic initiatives and projects
• Act as a technical 'centre of excellence' by keeping up to date with technical developments, communicating these to colleagues  and suppliers and by providing technical advice and information so that technical innovations can be taken into account during product design and development.
• Work closely with merchandising team and other members of the Asia quality team on pre-production meetings, approving developing or modified samples, solving quality issues, compliance of regulatory requirement  and pre-shipment inspection
• Do in season management of product by analysis of returns data and power reviews and  via feedback from the UK , and evaluate and resolve any quality/safety related problems identified , ensuring that you completed a  root cause analysis and a corrective action plan.
• Carry out selective QA tasks / QC work and be flexible on either based on the needs of the business.
• Ensure all QA documentation is completed before the start of each new product season and the relevant information available  for use by the QC team during the PSIs
• Manage the development of product in conjunction with the supplier/UK QA, ensuring that the product and its packaging, assembly instructions/ instruction booklet are safe,  fit for purpose, meet the regulatory requirements and will delight our customers
• Prepare all necessary QA documentation required as part of  the product assessment and sealing process
• Ensure correct product safety, and technical certificates [e.g. BS, ISO and EU standards] are in place. And compile technical files, as necessary , to meet regulatory requirements

• Regular in depth liaison with UK engineers to improve product design, functionality and ensure compliance with standards

• Relevant Degree / Higher Diploma  ( eg. engineering/ manufacturing)
• At least 3 years QA and QC working experience in related fields.
• Previous employment in sizable EU buying office or trading Company for retail market would be beneficial
• Employment history in laboratory is also preferred
• Knowledge in BS/European/ISO safety requirements
• Experience in relevant  product’s manufacturing processes, design & development, various production line assembly techniques, finishing & testing processes, sufficient to have a good understanding of manufacturing processes and capabilities (and the ability to audit, follow-up and deliver supplier development plans)
• An understanding of the customer quality expectations in business
• Commercial awareness- understanding business impact of decisions.
• Full understanding of TQM
• Good command of written and spoken English.
• Experience dealing with Supplier and Factory management
