Description
We are seeking for an individual to work as part of a small team to develop and sustain complex embedded hardware platforms.
Qualifications required
-Capable of defining requirements and creating design / test specifications for all design work undertaken in accordance with the defined project management framework;
- Capable of resolving complex design and manufacturing problems;
- Management of outsourcing design projects on technical aspects;
- Working closely with the global R&D hardware / software teams and industrialization teams;
- Performing other related duties as assigned or requested.
- Open, positive and self motivated.
- Good communications skills, including written and spoken English.
Experience Required
- 5+ years relevant experience and knowledge in the following areas of electronic hardware design
§ Skills in analog circuitry design for signal acquisition, ADC
§ Digital/microprocessor is advantageous
§ Power supply is advantageous
§ Experience in high-end PLC, Industrial controller is advantageous.
-Experience in the use of design/simulation tools to design for high noise and harsh environments. Cadence/Matlab/PSPICE would be advantageous.
- Good understanding to deliver optimized and cost effective PCB designs.
- Good understanding of the constraints imposed on the design and component selection by long product lifetimes.
- Application of relevant EMC and safety
- Understanding of outside body approval requirements LVD, UL, CSA etc.
- Understanding of DFM and DFT.
- Understanding of FMEA, MTBF, Functional safety.
- Working experience in cross-function development projects.
