Business Unit/Team Information
Intergraph PPM Greater China is one of the 4 business regions that are responsible for overall operation and results in their separate territories. GC is addressing rapid business progress and development in its organization and infrastructure. As one of the regional strategic development initiatives, GC automation is aiming at overall system integration, advanced automation and localization for support business growth. The PPM Information Services and its Application team are based in Australia, the candidate as our future Business System Consultant will demonstrate an extremely important role and an indispensable part for our future success to be based in Shanghai, China.
Previous ERP deployment and people management experience are necessary, excellent communication skills are essential particularly as the position requires direct communication with counterparts at various parts of the Asia-Pacific and United States. Equally important will be people skills, enthusiasm and capability to learn quickly.
Position Summary/Purpose
The Senior Business Systems Consultant will act as the pivot between end-users (particularly the finance and order fulfillment team) and IT to ensure that requirements in GP(Dynamics Great Plains), Siebel, Oasis are delivered in IT solutions.
This position is also responsible for ensuring the required levels of service and customer satisfaction are maintained.
Main Activities
· Analyzing and delivering business process initiatives through business systems improvement projects by either managing some components of large initiatives or all components of medium sized initiatives.
· Meeting with user groups to gather and analyze end user requirements.
· Analyzing workflow to create process maps and isolate areas of potential improvement.
· Developing functional specifications that design and document desired outcome of system enhancement/development.
· Producing technical specifications to communicate user requirements in technical terms to analyst programmers/project team.
· Coordinating User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to ensure the overall efficiency, functionality and user friendliness of system enhancement/development.
· Preparing material and providing training and assistance to end-users following implementation.
· Working as a crucial component of a project team, typically the lead of the team, responsible for enhancing existing systems or developing new systems.
Qualifications and Experience Required
Essential
· Tertiary qualifications
· Track record in business systems implementation and project management/change management of these implementations (minimum 5 year experience)
· Technical knowledge of programming, system design, IT infrastructure and database concepts.
· Outstanding ability to analyze, isolate and interpret business needs and develop appropriate technical solutions, backed by previous experience.
· Finance systems implementation experience, Microsoft Great Plains implementation experience essential.
Highly Desirable
· Microsoft D Microsoft SQL server and MySQL administration skills
· At least 3 year experience in a DBA role within a medium to large organization (> 100 desktops)
· Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains implementation experience
· Reporting from Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains environment
· Great Plains Sales Order Processing, Contract Administration, Project Accounting modules experience
· Microsoft Project Server implementation experience
· HR Systems implementation experience, experience using Siebel and Salesforce.com would be highly regarded
