Your Op provides business support to foreign companies doing business in China and Chinese companies who would like to explore the business market in Europe, especially the Netherlands. Please check our website www.your-op.com for more info. Currently we are looking for a merchandiser/purchaser.

Main activities/ responsibilities:
- Search on potential suppliers
- Analyze and compare the products characteristics and prices offered with the searched product and the given target price; negotiation is involved
- Monitor and follow up orders from placing the order till shipment
- Build good working relationships with suppliers and manufacturers
- Doing inspection at factories all over China and have knowledge about AQL quality standards
- Ability to communicate with foreign clients
- Doing some translation work
- Other tasks assigned by the manager

Skills/Attitude required:
- Chinese local Mandarin, with very good English language skills (spoken en written)
- Self-aware with a mature attitude to work and the ability to take own responsibility and work independently
- Must be assertive, resourceful, result-oriented, self-motivated, independent
- Possess a strong communication and cultural skill
- Ability for negotiation
- Good time management, organizational and multitasking skills
- Candidate has to be mentally flexible and must also demonstrate endurance in high stress situations
- Knowledge in quality control concept, manufacturing process, quality system.
- Additional: knowledge in the decoration, machineries, bamboo, wood

Further Qualifications:
- Bachelor Degree qualification and knowledge in foreign trade
- 2-3 years of work experience preferably in purchasing or sourcing
- Good computer skill on Internet, Excel, Word and Outlook
