Purpose

Business Navigator in the store is inspired by the IKEA's vision to create a better everyday life for the many people. He/she is driven by the IKEA business idea, culture and values with a focus on sustainable profitability

Mandate

The store Business Navigator is the driver of the store to look for business opportunities and 'translate' them into an estimated 'Profit or Loss', including possible effects on the customer satisfaction and co-worker motivation, which enables the store management to make the right business decision and follow up. He/she takes a multidimensional view on the IKEA store become the reference for 'life at home' in the local market.

Main Responsibilities and Duties

Process owner of the management process

To create the store year cycle by using IKEA China's year cycle as the base

Ensure define targets

To turn historical information into knowledge for strategy business steering

To navigate the store future

Monitor performance & benchmarking

To utilize relevant analytical tools to monitor the result/profitability and development of the business.

To identify potentials and best practices sharing by benchmarking.

To driver the store efficiency improvement

To secure the administrative routines are documented and implemented in all departments of the store so that the store lives up to internal policies and legal demands

To lead the staff planning process in the entire store to secure that the staffing levels of the store are optimised in order to match the business needs.

To initiate and participate in the development of tools and working methods to improve store operation efficiency
