PR Manager
Responsibilities:
Development, Planning & Implementation
Build, develop, drive & implement
PR strategies and plans through a systematic calendar approach for Brand / Products.
PR placement for brand / products via a strategic horizontal / vertical media / media relations strategy for defined brand / product strategy & objectives
Comprehensive action plans for all related PR projects in relation to Brand Campaigns / Product releases.
Comprehensive PR action plans that maximize publicity of our global and locally assets / products to provide the authentic link to our brand
Effective PR angles / stories to drive free publicity during Key Campaigns / Events while strategically sustaining PR noise around Brand / Products
PR actions plans across different media channels including digital PR
A comprehensive strategic action plan for Seeding strategy for new branded products to Key influencers / opinion leaders / media / celebrities to drive brand heat / energy
Build, drive, develop, maintain strong media relations through a systematic data management approach
Build, drive, develop, maintain a strong entertainment network through a systematic data management approach including identifying strategic opportunities to gain brand / product exposure in entertainment related programs
Build, drive, develop, and maintain a systematic media clippings database for brand / competitors including evaluation / feedback of publicity
Remain up to date on the fast growing China Media Environment & usage of PR as a Key driving communications tool across different PR mediums
Management
Manage & lead the execution of related PR activities such as press conferences, interviews and advertorials that maximize brand and product exposure and creates opportunities for positive free publicity.
Establish & maintain good relationships with key media that will ultimately allow brand to effectively and efficiently communicate our core concept messages, product information as well as brand event news.
Supervise the PR agency to plan and execute PR activities to maximize their quality service provision in a systematic approach.
Prepares & distributes monthly China PR Summary that recaps recent PR activities & article clippings.
Manage sourcing of all (locally produced) PR & Event material at the lowest price while still maintaining good quality and standards
Financial
Follows, maximizes and controls the budget as set according to the Marketing Plan
Plans & Monitors budget expenses within team including proper management & control respecting company’s financial guidelines
Suggests future budgets
Negotiates and develops quotations with vendors by setting clear objectives and expectations with the utmost integrity
Evaluates and recommends pricing levels for all Marketing purchases
Manage all financial documentation & processes in relation to usage of budget as set by finance dept by maintaining & managing the usage / tracking of budget in an orderly / systematic approach with utmost integrity
System and Processes
Develop & manage PR calendar in a systematic / orderly approach by planning relevant timeline to develop PR materials so as to drive publicity for brand / products for PR activities and standard PR.
Work closely with other functions to support their event and products by means of free publicity and advertorials.
Integrate with other functions (e.g. Product Marketing, Brand Communications, PR, Sales, Sports, Retail Marketing) to plan & execute PR activities and ensure correct representation of the brand & products.
Write and distribute press releases to relevant media and follow-up on assigned project.
Responsible for on-time and accurate provision of Commitment and Payment requests of all related PR activities
Post-evaluate campaign performance by collating results into regular quality reports.
Requirements:

Strong conceptual understanding of brand building & usage of PR as a communications tool
Excellent interpersonal/communication skills
Ability to multi-task and attention to detail
Team player with Inspirational attitude/Patience & Passion with Proactive nature
Open-mindedness
Ability to take calculated risks
Effective in time management and plan execution
Strong network with media
Minimum 7 yrs experience in PR department of a multi-national, or in a 4A’s PR agency that has a strong presence in China
Previous experience with media in China-in-depth understanding of lifestyle / sports inspired media in China is preferred.
Knowledgeable about China and international sports field / brands & lifestyle sector
Strong media network & relationships
Strong entertainment network & relationships.
University degree, preferably in a Communications or Journalism related field.
Excellent written Mandarin Chinese - able to write / review PR releases
Excellent English fluency
Working knowledge of Microsoft products
