Job Description

Attached to Ubisoft's world IT infrastructure and operations department, you are part of the team responsible for the needs of the gaming production studios (~ 40 people in Shanghai, Montreal and Paris).

In Shanghai, in a fast growing team of 10+ people, you are mainly in charge of the "Source Control" team with 3 engineers under your direct responsibility.

In close collaboration with your counterparts in Europe and America, you are responsible with your team for operations (incidents, requests) and projects (evolutions) while following the instructions of your local manager.

As a Linux Systems Engineer Lead, you take part in the same technical scope as your engineers and bring them your communication, analysis and organization capabilities.

As a manager, you are responsible for reporting the activity of your team to internal clients and your manager.

Collect the need of game teams and offer them new or existing solutions to meet them

Being proactive in optimizing our business and those of our internal customers

Collaborate closely with our counterparts around the world

任职要求：

Qualifications

Following your training in computer science, you have a professional experience of 5 to 10 years in Linux and application system administration.

With a strong technical experience, you want to add some management to your career.

Finally, you have excellent written and oral communication skills in English to work in an international context, understand and respond to the needs of different studios and entities around the world.

Technical skills required

Linux : Performance diagnostics, Automation / Scripting, experience in designs and / or configurations in a high activity / critical environment.

Applications : Understanding the concepts of "source control", File server (SMB, NFS ...), Databases (SQL, MongoDB ...)

Good understanding of IT infrastructure concepts (storage, virtualization, network, hardware)

The following skills will be appreciated

Monitoring tools (Zabbix, Nagios, etc.)

Development tools / continuous integration (Jenkins, Quickbuild, Perforce, Gitlab, Artifactory, etc.)

Configuration Management Tools (CFEngine, Chef, etc.)

Experience in developing or supporting development teams

Windows: notions of Windows administration in a professional environment

General skills

Ability to develop new techniques and methodologies for solving unique problems in a changing environment

Ability to adapt one's speech according to interlocutors, to synthesize and to carry out action plans

Sense of service and listening

Proposal force and autonomy

Integrity and respect for confidentiality

Good interpersonal skills, team spirit and leadership
