Purpose
IKEA FOOD is also about encouraging IKEA store visitors to stay longer and enjoy more, making it fun for everyone, offering great food at low prices, giving visitors a tasty reason to return again and again, and providing co-workers with a chance to rest and re-charge.
Mandate
You lead and manage the IKEA FOOD Commercial team consisting of the Restaurant sales areas, Customer areas (including Co-worker restaurant), dish wash and Cafés (where applicable). You implement the IKEA FOOD concept to increase the sales of IKEA home furnishings products and support the IKEA position as the leading home furnishings company.
You support your co-workers, using the HR idea, so that they can carry out the IKEA FOOD concept. This involves generating store traffic, converting visitors to customers, strengthen the low-price profile and the Swedish identity of the IKEA store.
You contribute to a positive, relaxing and inspiring customer experience. You focus on our customers, seek (and act on) feedback, monitor customer satisfaction and improve service levels. You will see the area through the eyes of the customer. You work actively with sales steering and to increase the turnover per seat.
You are a member of the IKEA FOOD management team, bringing functional specialist knowledge to this group as well as contributing on a generic level to the decision making process in order to achieve the function objectives.
Main Responsibilities and Duties
Commerciality
Maximise vitality and commerciality of IKEA FOOD in your store to increase sales and profitability according to your goals. Ensure an effective implementation and presentation of the IKEA FOOD range matrix. Implement your action plan utilising the appropriate national and international benchmarking tools and best-practice; for example merchandising techniques, sales KPIs, sales steering, 3 Aces & 1 king and price & quality ladder.
Leadership HR & Communication
Ensure that all co-workers in the IKEA FOOD commercial team understand the IKEA Concept and how this impacts on their specific roles.
Business Navigation
Develop, agree with the IKEA FOOD Manager and communicate to your team an annual action plan for IKEA FOOD commercial areas to execute the IKEA FOOD country and Function business plan. Monitor and evaluate the success of this plan in order to influence future plans.
