Responsibilities
Major Responsibilities:
? Play a key role in the cost estimation process, develop and maintain the should-cost models for purchasing modules/components.
? Estimate the purchasing cost of benchmark vehicle modules/components.
? Estimate the automotive feature cost by marketing feature description.
? Responsible for maintaining cost database, such as raw material cost, machine cost, component cost.
? Supplier visit and analyze suppliers' manufacturing process, cycle time, scrape rate and tooling, determine the capacity of machine and all other stations.
? Support commodity team for bidding process.
? Evaluate supplier quotes for engineering change.
Qualifications
Key Competencies:
? Work experience in automotive cost analyst or production engineer or supplier quality engineer or manufacturing engineer desired.
? Ability of independent thinking and problem solving.
? Excellent communication skills; Strong English speaking and writing abilities.
? Ability to meet deadlines, work independently without close supervision.
? Must be a team player; Good personal skills; demonstrated ability to work with all levels of the management.
? Advanced skills in Excel, and other MS Office products.
