Field service position based in Shanghai to support the scientific laser business of Spectra-Physics.

Work Content

Field service support to scientific laser business, in terms of product installation, customer training, field troubleshooting, to lead and follow up the communication with BU on service issues until case closure, to gain customer satisfaction.

Principal Accountabilities:

Be the local technical expert for supporting Spectra-Physics lasers.

§ Maintain, repair and install Spectra-Physics lasers for scientific customers.

§ Together with sales team, engage customers to answer product-related requirements

§ Travel, domestically and internationally, to customers, conferences, headquarters and other locations as required.

Technical Skills, or Knowledge which are required:

- The position requires a candidate with an excellent understanding of lasers, especially for femtosecond lasers, picosecond lasers, nanosecond lasers and CW lasers.

- Vast hands on experience of installing, using, maintaining ultrafast lasers.

- The individual should show evidence of her/his ability to work with minimal supervision based on examples in her/his past employment and research history.

- Excellent communication and writing skills in Chinese and English are of the essence in order to interact with customers and internal function departments.

- Computer skills of Microsoft Office, and skills for installing some controlling software, especially the software for communicating with the lasers (could install the driver and the software by himself).

- Knowledge and experience in ultrafast laser applications, like nonlinear microscopy, ultrafast spectroscopy, laser processing, etc. is a big plus

Educational requirements

?Master or PHD in Physics, electronics or photoelectrons.

? Ability to maintain, repair and install ultrafast lasers.

? Ability to work in a fast paced, high-pressure environment and provide timely and accurate follow-up inquiries.

? Dedication to achieving high customer satisfaction.

? Analytical and detail-oriented.
