Responsibilities
· Work with the creative and technical teams to deliver new features to the business' requirements
· Advise on design decisions and best technical approaches for projects
· Implement good development specifications and work with the operation and maintenance technician to conduct code optimization.
· Work closely with Project Managers to ensure work is delivered to specification and within agreed deadlines
· Keep up-to-date with the latest web technologies
· Suggest best-practice approaches to coding and improvements to our development processes
Essential Skills & Requirements
· 3 years+ LAMP platform development experience.
· Proficient in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Ajax and other web-related technologies, have understanding of JS frameworks.
· Have in-depth comprehension of the OO feature of php5 and MVC design pattern and be able to apply this knowledge to coding.
· Solid relational database foundation and good SQL programming skills
· Have good coding practices and strong documentation skills
· Have a strong sense of responsibility, initiative and team spirit
Desirable skills
· Proficient in Zend Framework, good understanding of the Magento platform
· Familiar with Agile development process
· Have an understanding of/exposure to Java and Perl programming languages
Excellent written and spoken English
