The General Pediatrician will be responsible for treating and managing pediatric patients in both the inpatient and outpatient setting.

Qualifications:
Board Certified/Board Eligible (or equivalent) in Pediatrics
Education and/or Experience:
● Doctor of medicine degree (or equivalent) from an approved school of medicine
● Minimum three years of residency training in Pediatrics at a hospital and program acceptable to the Medical Director
● Minimum 3-5 years experience post-residency in the clinical area
Language Skills:
● Fluency in English Required
● Additional Languages a plus
Reasoning Ability:
Superior diagnostic skills
Supervisory Responsibilities:
None
Primary Responsibilities:
● Examines, diagnoses, and treats acute and chronic diseases and injuries within the scope of Pediatrics in both the inpatient and outpatient setting. Prepares and reviews case histories and obtains data through interviews. Examines patients and determines x-ray examinations and clinical laboratory tests required. Interprets test results and evaluates examination findings. Conducts ward rounds and prescribes therapy. Administers and prescribes treatment such as antibiotics, drugs, and compresses. Performs minor surgical procedures. Determines need for and assists in specialized medical care and treatment. May be granted additional privileges based on documented proficiency
● Will agree to serve on one hospital/clinic committee
● Works on quality improvement activities within the department in collaboration with other pediatricians, Administrative Leader/Chairperson and CMO
● Will work closely with the Administrative Leader/Chairperson of the Department in supporting departmental goals
● May be granted additional responsibilities based on consultation with Department Leader/Chairperson and/or Medical Director/CMO.
● Teach and supervise relevant staff, in support of the development of the field of Pediatrics, as appropriate
● Develop pediatrics team, including identifying, teaching, and supervising staff as needed.
● Cover 4 night shifts per month.
Job Competency:
● During employee’s probation evaluation, employee’s performance will be evaluated from 6 aspects: Quality of work, Working attitude, Attendance, Communication, Knowledge of job, Competency against performance objectives. In employee’s final probation evaluation, if 3 or more than 3 items of above 6 are defined as “below expectation”, employee shall be deemed as not competent for current position and cannot meet job requests.
