1. Senior/Principle scientist- oligonucleic acid based therapy

POSITION RESPONSIBLITIES:

?   Synthesis of oligonucleotides, deprotection, purification, desalting and lyophilization of oligonucleotides to support projects in multiple disease areas.

?  Optimization and scale up of processing methods

?  Supports continuous improvement initiatives by identifying areas needing improvement, recommending strategies for improvement, and helping to implementing those strategies once approved

?   Ability to operate and maintain lab instruments such as AKTA synthesizers, purifiers and HPLC and LC-MS

?  Conduct laboratory work in safe, efficient manner that ensures a safe working environment for colleagues

?  Familiarity with pre-clinical drug development and IND-enabling phase of therapeutic programs

?  Collaborative team player who is also proficient at leading projects and motivating teams

?   Capacity to be highly productive in a fluid and fast-paced work environment

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

?   PhD in Organic Chemistry or related. Strong knowledge of Oligonucleotide Synthesis, Deprotection and Purification techniques. Candidates with demonstrable hands-on nucleotide drug discovery and pre-clinical development experience in pharmaceutical/biotech industry is a plus.

?  Experience in scale up and technology transfer of processing

?  Experience with the AKTA line of synthesizers

?   Familiarity with analytical techniques and data interpretation HPLC, LC-MS, UV-Vis

Minimum Requirements
Education: Ph.D. in synthetic organic or medicinal chemistry
Languages: Business-level oral and written English
