The original intention was to provide a recourse for retailers who’d been swindled by people handing out bad checks. Bill's product was a kind of verification device using phone lines—a verification phone.

But then a pivot. The credit card industry was relatively new at the time and processing was still being done with carbon paper. Bill saw a way to reduce costs for companies like Visa and MasterCard, while capitalizing on this new technology. Instead of verifying checks, we would provide local businesses a means to electronically process credit card payments. And thus, the Verifone payment device was born.

Job Title: Talent Acquisition Recruiter, APAC

Position Summary:

This role will provide essential staffing support to Hiring Managers and HR Support Staff for India. You will be responsible for building and maintaining relationships at all levels of management. You are able to utilize social recruitment sites and be creative in their sourcing/recruitment methods in order to generate constant flow of candidate as specified by Hiring Manager. You are resourceful and do a diligent research to assess qualifications and find the best means for outreach. This role demands hard work, creativity, critical thinking to target, research and generate interest among passive candidates.

Essential duties and accountabilities:

1. Work closely with business in order to deeply understand teams’ organization structure, responsibilities, strengths/weaknesses and key business drivers. Utilize this information to develop most effective recruiting strategies

2. Manage and drive full-cycle recruitment process including sourcing, screening, interviewing, feedback, offers negotiation and onboarding for all levels of candidates from entry to senior level

3. Efficiently and effectively utilize all sourcing channels such as job boards, employee referrals, career portals, job fairs and take other initiatives to attract and source talent at all levels, skill sets and experience

4. Engage with HR and Business leadership in addressing key recruitment challenges, develop and prioritize recruiting and sourcing strategies and key recruiting initiatives

5. Influence business leaders and educate hiring managers on process, interview best practices and decision-making

6. Provide hiring reports and performance metrics on a regular basis

7. Update recruiting activity in the system in a timely manner and ensure data integrity

8. Ensure process compliant with all local rules and regulations related to hiring and recruiting

9. Partner to continuously develop process improvements to enhance the experience for candidates and internal stakeholder

Knowledge & Experience:

1. Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent work experience

2. At least 5 years of recruiting experience with a strong preference of regional recruiting experience across functions

3. Strong communication skills - you are able to communicate effectively to all levels of management

4. Authoritative skill using internet resources including but not limited to: resume databases, recruiting and search techniques such as LinkedIn, professional networks, and job boards

5. Demonstrable ability to generate and create tracking systems, metrics and reports to demonstrate successful lead generation of candidates throughout the different stages of candidate sourcing

6. Strong computer skills and experience with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel; experience with Workday and Jobvite is a plus

7. Works with a high sense of urgency, ability to remain flexible within a highly dynamic changing environment and still deliver on deadlines. Works well with ambiguity

8. Ability to work independently and actively within a team environment

9. High attention to detail and thoroughness of work; operationally strong and disciplined

10. Required to handle confidential information in a professional manner
