As part of the Business Applications Group in the Cloud+AI division we are at the heart of Microsoft’s cloud strategy. The Dynamics 365 for Retail team delivers a holistic software-as-a-service offering to delight our customers in the multi-billion-dollar retail industry software market. Our offering spans across modern client experiences running in brick-and-mortar retail stores, hardware and payment integrations, consumer centric mobile applications, E-Commerce, a web based headquarter portal, and location and context aware solutions for warehousing and inventory management. Through customer obsession, and close collaboration with partners and ISVs, we have built a comprehensive and modern set of scenarios and experiences that our customers love which has in turn contributed to our tremendous growth in usage, revenue, and market share. To meet overwhelming customer demand and our growing global footprint, the Retail team is looking to establish an engineering office in Shanghai, China. The team will be responsible for delivering on full-stack, new feature development that spans across Azure-hosted cloud services and mobile devices with enterprise scale and security that organizations have come to expect from Microsoft. This is an opportunity to work on a large technology stack, in an open and diverse environment, tackling big and complex challenges, and collaborating with a variety of partners and stakeholders to define the future of commerce.

Responsibilities 

To be successful in this role you must develop end-to-end features across the entire software stack, including application, services, and database technologies. The ideal candidate collaborates effectively in a team atmosphere, is sensitive to the needs of customers, and will develop relationships with partners inside and outside of Microsoft. If you are passionate about the customers and are eager to innovate in the Retail software space, then this is the job for you.

                                                                                                                                                                 Qualifications 

· 1+ years of software design and programming experience with languages like C/C++/C#/Java/Python required.

· or 1+ years of experience with multi-tier software architectures (i.e. Presentation, Application, Business, and Data layers) required.

· or 1+ years of database development experience with technologies like SQL Server, MySQL, or Oracle desired.

· Experience with web technologies, such as JavaScript/TypeScript/HTML/React preferred.
