Our client is a leading industrial group specializing in airport ground support equipment, their customers include airlines, airports, cargo airlines, ground handlers, and military organizations around in the world.
Position : Vice President - Sales and Services
Location : Shanghai
Reporting to : CEO
Responsibilities:
Sales of units, spare parts and services
Develop strategy to grow business, increase market share and profitability
Develop a customer relationship management strategy and ensure customer satisfaction
Manage the business unit as an independent operation, including budgeting, reporting and working capital management
Ensure that the standard processes are applied and are continuously improved, especially the CRM and the processes associated to Sales Administration
Hands on approach and set up role model to team members
Develop and manage the implement of commercial strategy within the region and sustain the growth in a fast-changing environment
Manage a team of Area Sales Managers, Customer Service Manager, Spare Parts Manager and Sales Administration Manager on their respective daily works
Manage all commercial activities including tendering, pricing, order processing, delivery and collections
Establish and maintain high level contacts and relationships with direct customers
Manage channels as required and follow strictly the rules of the company
Ensure business is conducted according to the highest standard set by Group management
Develop and deploy strategies to increase market share
Promote innovative and new features to ensure leading position in the market
Gather market intelligence and feedback information systematically to the group and the relevant factories
Gather requirements of market and feedback to engineering to develop features that meet market leads
Develop and deploy customer services initiatives to ensure high level of customer satisfactions which measured by annual customer satisfaction survey
Provide competitive analysis systemically such as pricing, market share by product line etc.
Manage monthly sales forecast (bottom up approaches), financial performance and key performance indicators as required by Group
Manage the financials achievements for the Business Units (P&L and working capital), optimizing the different Sales Administration steps, and working closely with manufacturing entities to ensure deliveries meet customer expectations
Report on the monthly performance to Group based on set format
Manage annual budget and half yearly re-estimate process
Monitor closely and take necessary actions to minimize working capital (inventory and receivables) invested by the Company
Develop action plans to improve overall financial performance
Continue to build a stable team in China
Grow the team in terms of business savvy, technical know-how in order to be a professional sales team in the industry by offering right trainings
Work with Group executives and other teams to develop right strategies to maximize market share
Respect of all applicable social, legal and environmental regulations in China and overseas
Requirements:
• 10 years plus in a sales management position in an MNC in China
• B2B business model with experience in large state-owned companies
• Tracked record of growing business in a dynamic market
• Demonstrate entrepreneurial quality with innovative ideas on business
• Full responsibility of a business unit including P&L, working capital and KPI’s
• Graduated with an engineering degree and an MBA is definitely an advantage
• Highly independent with high degree of integrity, trustworthy and being reliable
Fluent in both Chinese and English is a must, basics of French is a plus
