Role Title: Head of Enterprise Services, HTSC 

Business: IT Infrastructure Delivery

   

Your responsibilities will include:

    Enterprise Services is responsible for designing, implementing and managing IT infrastructure technologies such as zSeries, iSeries, Servers, Storage, Data Platforms and Middleware in order to support business services across HSBC.As part of the wider IT Infrastructure Delivery organisation, it is organised along 3 functional categories working closely under a matrix management structure:   

1) Technology Domains (e.g. iSeries, Distributed Compute and Storage)

2) Regional and Entity Management (e.g. Asia, EMEA and US)

3) Cross Functional (Domain) Disciplines (e.g. Engineering, Delivery and Deployment, and Production Services)We are currently seeking high caliber professionals to join our team as Senior Manager, Enterprise Services China.

 

Your responsibilities will include:

- Determine the strategic directions together with ES Technology Domains and ES Cross Functional Disciplines, and execute them relentlessly

- Define product roadmaps together with ES Technology Domains, ES Cross Functional Disciplines and business stakeholders, and keep other areas of HSBC informed about the technical infrastructure capabilities available

- Deliver safe, stable and robust platform services (e.g. zSeries, iSeries, Windows/Linux/Unix Servers, Storage, Data Platforms and Middleware) with sufficient capacity for supporting business services across HSBC

- Deliver developer services for enabling faster delivery of highly standardised platform services (e.g. Virtualisation, GSDE and Private Cloud)

- Increase operational efficiency and optimise turnaround time of infrastructure delivery via pervasive automation - Consolidate and reduce infrastructure complexity to simplify service operation

 - Implement new and/or enhanced technical infrastructure capabilities to improve service performance

 - Manage risks and costs (including people, technology and processes)

 - Ensure service quality targets (e.g. functionality, availability, capacity, performance, ever-greening, security and continuity) are met for offered infrastructure services

- Develop cloud-based infrastructure platforms together with Business and DevOps teams and deliver IaaS (Infrastructure as a Service) and PaaS (Platform as a Service)

- Understand the DevOps Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery pipeline, build automated test scripts (for infrastructure products and upgrades), and build automation interfaces between systems
