ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTION:

    

Persons employed in this position are responsible for, but not limited to, ordering supplies and components at the most economical price to ensure total customer satisfaction.

    

Job Responsibilities:

    

Schedule and order material needs based on ERP demand and/or requirements from internal customers.

    

 Review, sign orders and follow-up on delivery.

    

 Track monthly past-due suppliers and develop Action Items.

    

Work directly with facilities to coordinate all activities, including but not limited to setup and maintenance of ERP system, Supply base optimization, project transfer and etc.

    

Serve as liaison between suppliers and Quality Control department.

    

 Responsible for maintaining appropriate inventory levels.

    

Interface with Production Control, Sales, and Design Engineering to ensure existing products have continuous flow and reduce company’s overall risk exposure.

    

Provide quarterly status reports on supplier delivery, and inventory.

    

Work with QA on quality problems with subcontractors and arrange RTV timely.

    

 Responsible for specific tasks as assigned by management.

    

Position Requirements:

    

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent education and/or experience. Engineering degree preferred

    

 At least 3-5 years buyer experience in manufacturing environment

    

 Previous negotiating experience

    

Excellent PC skills

    

Good ERP knowledge and skill

    

Familiar with Import & Export business including documentation, transportation arrangement and customs clearance

    

Good communication skills in English, both written and oral

    

Be good at mass data analysis by Excel

    

Experience using strategic and tactical techniques for turning opponents into allies and the ability to determine critical facts about the supplier required

    

Experience developing strategic alliances globally with suppliers plus.

    

Good team player and problem analysis skills

    

 Knowledge of IATF16949 / ISO14001/ISO45001 procedures a plus

    

 Understand and observe position safety protection.
