Job Description for Procurement Specialist

 

Position Accountabilities:

Zeeco is an International Leader in Industrial Combustion Technology, primarily serving the Petroleum, Chemical, and Power Generation Industries Worldwide. We provide flare system, thermal oxidizer system, air heater system, Vapor Recovery Unit and process burners to our customers. This position is accountable for required purchasing jobs for bidding support and project execution, and supplier management.

General Tasks

• Regular purchasing activities like inquiry preparation / commercial negotiation / bid tabulation, purchase order preparation etc.  under guidance of line manager.
• Maintain vendor & cost database. 
• Expedite order confirmation. 
• Prepare close-out of PO
• Responsible for contact to vendors. Internal coordination with related stakeholders.
• Negotiate claims due to nonconformities with suppliers.
• Work under the guidance of superior only in difficult and challenging problems.
• Purchasing of In-house requirements / Misc. General purchase.

• Drive safety in all business aspects and target zero incidents
• Ensure consistent high quality in procurement and services
• Ensure total compliance with global Code of Conduct, local legislation, follow company instructions and adherence to SHEQ standards

Cooperation, Organisation and Employee Development

• Contribute to a motivated, effective and efficient team with a continuous improvement culture
• Ensure good cooperation with different interfaces
• Ensure work efficiency and optimize utilization of resources to fulfill the defined department target productivity
• Contribute to the openly communication and feedback channel, keeping healthy working environment

Requirements: 

1.     Education & Qualifications
Bachelor degree or above in Commercial or  Engineering  / Preferably in respective Material Group discipline

2.     Professional Experience
2 ~ 4 years of purchasing experience. or more than 2 years working experiences in combustion industry.

3.     Key Capabilities & Technical Expertise

·       Experience in handling (demanding) suppliers

·       Able to create valuable contacts to relevant suppliers

·       Distinctive communication skills and assertiveness

·       Basic knowledge for discipline specific IT Tools/software/MS Office. 

·       Basic language skills in English
