With the high grow marketing in China, we are looking to fill the leadership role to accomplish this target in China. The Product Manager owns Life-Cycle-Management of the product portfolio and leads new product development projects (NPD) from beginning to end in close cooperation with Project Management and R&D leads. Identifying and translating key customer needs into measurable product requirements based on a deep market and application knowledge is a key success factor for the PM role

Key Relationships:

• Owns the strategic roadmap for responsible product portfolio
• Conduct product market analysis and assess customer needs
• Develops ideas for innovative product concepts together with team
• Execute launch and marketing plans to ensure product acceptance and revenue goals
• Work across multiple disciplines to bridge scientific and software requirements and functionality
• Owns the creation of business cases for purpose of decision making in the context of new product development projects and product lifecycle management
• Reports-out on China top line and profitability performance of product portfolio to senior management and makes recommendations for actions
• Assist in the development of the product support structure and organization
• Contribute to business plan development
• Actively supports the China marketing teams by setting strategic pricing guidelines, developing and improving marketing tools and conducting sales trainings
• Understand and evaluate competitive landscape and market trends to promote, differentiate, and position the product
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

• Is aware of Health and Safety and conducts self in a way that does not put him/herself or any other person at risk.

Experience:

• At least 7 years of experience in product management or field applications for products in the life sciences domain in China.
• Understanding of instrument used in protein and cell biology in life sciences research
• Experience delivering life science research products from new product concept to release.
• Working knowledge of microplate and imaging instruments based on applications, tools, and workflow
• Proven track record of concisely reporting Voice of Customer information to marketing and development teams.
• Proven ability to accomplish tasks in a team environment (ex. engineering, marketing, technical support).
• Proven ability to communicate complex concepts in writing.
• Sense of the Urgency – ability to know when to act quickly to proactively solve problems

• Detail oriented – ability to develop detailed plans and then execute on those plans.
