EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS

Cloud Environment Engineers help orchestrate, provision & manage Infrastructure services to support a 24x7 cloud service. You'll work across applications, lines of businesses and global teams to deliver high quality services and ensure business goals are met. The role will focus on breaking down complex problems into tactical actions and implement automation innovations.

You will be part of a global team, assisting in developing solutions, implementing requirements, creating processes, procedures, that facilitate planning and execution. You're equally at home explaining complex recommendations to Engineering and Operating teams, as you are discussing the technical trade-offs in product development with colleagues. You are highly resourceful, analytical, have a combination of focus, flexibility, self-motivation, integrity, willingness to put the team and company’s interest above all else

SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

• Experience with automation/configuration management using either Chef, Puppet, or an equivalent
• Coding & scripting using Java, C/C++, Python, Perl, Powershell, Ruby etc.
• Experience in containerization, orchestration using Dockers & Kubernetes.
• Good understanding of public clouds (i.e. AZ, AWS, GCP, AliCloud)
• Extensive knowledge of distributed version control systems like GIT
• Extensive experience with Linux and Windows operating systems including deployment, maintaining and troubleshooting
• Troubleshoot and debug complex issues related to product and infrastructure.
• Experience with tools like Splunk, Dynatrace, Jira, ServiceNow etc.
• Understanding of virtualization and global infrastructure, load balancing, networking, security and operations

• Strong oral and written communication skills with a positive can-do & self-starter attitude.

QUALIFICATIONS

• BS degree in Computer Science or related technical field or equivalent practical experience
• 6+ year work experience in a 24X7 cloud operations environment.
• Mandatory: Chef, Jenkins, Git, ( AWS or Google Cloud or Alibaba Cloud), Docker
• Desirable: Kubernetes, Terraform, Spinnaker
