Port Operation Manager

? Based in Shanghai – China

About the role

RT Iron Ore will launch portside trading business through a new WOFE in China. This role will play effective inventory management, inventory cost and risk control, port authorities and customs relationships maintenance and overall logistics solution. Will also manage Customs clearance of cargo, Inspection and management of goods.In the context of the port side trading activities: ? Coordinate shipment plan, ensure vessel berthing, customs clearance and unloading smoothly ? Ensure the safe stacking of cargo and the smooth execution of transportation. ? Reduce the risk of cargo retention, prevent cargo loss. ? Manage and Ensure that Cargo agents’ reasonable and efficient operation, build up proper management process to select, manage and monitor agents’ work ? Manage storage cost and all other cost of operation at ports, contribute to overall P&L of portside trading ? On behalf of RT, Interface with port authorities, customs and inspection bureau.

Reporting to the CEO of the new WOFE , you will:

Plan and system

? Develop the overall inventory management system and process with total compliance of all Company policies.

? Manage the overall portside inventory risk control system, mitigate the risk in the operation process.

Cargo management

? Arrange the cargo yard in advance, ensure the safety of cargo stacking.

? Observe the vessel line up situation in advance, arrange the smooth berthing of the vessel.

? Arrange the cargo Customs clearance, inspecting.

? Manage the cargo inspection and release of the cargo.

? Assessment of cargo agency, warehousing services

? Keep track of inventory of cargo.

Risk and Cost control

? Maintain daily communication with Port Authority and negotiate with Port Authority to reduce Port rates, including port charges, storage fees.

? Develop inventory risk control manual, prevent the loss of cargo, theft.

? Ensure that the cargo are stacked reasonably.

? Ensure the daily maintenance, patrol and water supply of the cargo.

? Develop a statement of inventory of cargo.

? Cost down to keep RT business advantage benchmarked to industry level.

Others

? Collect relevant data to enable business decisions

? Build and lead Port operation team to manage all ports operations

About you

To be successfully considered for this role, you will have:

? Bachelor degree

? Strong business ethics

? Strong communication skill.

? Excellent attention to detail.

? Strong relationship with China ports authorities.

? Familiar with top port services companies in all major China ports.

? Management experience of operation team in large business scale (over 30MTPA)

? SAP proficiency required. ? Fluency in English and Mandarin Chinese.

? >10 years iron ore operation in a top five industry company

? >5 years management experience
