As a multi-platform creation engine, Unity is continuing to develop exciting strategic partnerships with industry leaders, including Google, Microsoft, Facebook and many others, in order to offer many opportunities for creators and developers to choose from, ultimately enabling developer success.  

Unity is seeking a Partner Marketing Manager who will own the marketing relationship with strategic partners to ensure these partnerships are effective in gaining momentum with Unity’s developer community. The role will own the strategy, integrated marketing plans and execution for co-marketing programs to meet our business objectives and to drive developer adoption of the partners’ technologies. This position requires marketing strategy, planning and execution capabilities along with the ability to build and manage the relationships with partners. It also requires a technical understanding of our partner’s upcoming technologies, and how it fits within the Unity roadmap.

The ideal candidate must have marketing experience, be a strong leader, having a proven track record in cross functional team management, excellent communication skills, and an interest and acumen in technology. To be successful, this person should be proactive, resourceful, accustomed to multi-tasking, critical thinking skills, a strong sense of urgency, and a positive attitude.

Responsibilities 

  • Understand the partner’s objectives to create cohesive co-marketing plans, which should be measured and monitored on a quarterly basis for progress
  • Adapt plans as necessary to achieve maximum results
  • Track and measure partner campaign success metrics and take accountability for overall plan success
  • Project manage/coordinate co-marketing deliverables including product launches, events, contests, offer programs, micro-site, online and offline campaigns
  • Develop new ideas for marketing campaigns with internal teams and partners
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external partners
  • Coordinate marketing activities including, but not limited to, social media, PR, web, legal, product marketing, engineering and evangelism teams. These teams will be critical in assisting with the execution of the plans
  • Work closely with the Account Managers and Business Development team to ensure alignment in strategy and execution of co-marketing plans
  • Present regular updates to internal partners such as marketing and business development leaders to seek feedback

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience creating co-marketing programs/plans and managing partners
  • Experience in managing partner relationships
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • You are not tied to any one "right way" but thrive in an environment that is as fluid as your ideas
  • Positive attitude, excited to take on new challenges
  • You will be expected to juggle multiple projects with finesse in sustaining a rapid flow of innovation in taking new value to the market in rapid iterations
  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically and execute efficiently and effectively
  • Have the ability to multi-task and to work independently
  • A team player that is able to gain cross-organization cooperation to execute marketing campaigns
  • Relevant education i.e. some marketing degree required, or solid on the job experience, MBA is a plus
  • Consulting or Product Marketing experience a plus
  • Experience in the gaming, film, Automotive, VR/AR industries a plus
  • Some travel will be required (domestic and international)
