Windows Server & Cloud s is looking for a highly motivated program manager who wants to build hybrid on premise server/cloud solutions and internet scaling services, and support a highly successful in market products.
As a feature PM, you will have the responsibilities to conduct customer research, collect user requirements, and derive product specifications. You will work closely with the development and test teams on technical design, implementation, and quality & timely delivery of the component & services owned by the team. As a Sustained Engineering PM, you will also be responsible for evaluating in market customer feedbacks, engaging with OEM and customers, update, refresh the in market product, and leading a influential and enthusiastic community.
The small & medium business category is 40+% of Windows Servers sales today and is growing rapidly. In addition small & medium businesses are embracing services rapidly and there is a unique opportunity to provide hybrid on premise solutions/cloud services as well as specific tailored services for this segment of users.
This position is located in Shanghai, China one of the world’s most cosmopolitan cities with a populations of 22+ million people. Windows Server & Tools employees over 500+ engineers in China and continues to grow rapidly with a goal of attracting the top talent from China’s 1.2M engineering graduates each year.
To be successful in this position, you must have strong passion for the customer as well as great problem solving skills, communication skills, and project management experiences.
The ideal candidate should have experience delivering and servicing software at Microsoft, been through multiple release cycles, have a history of shipping high quality software through all phases of the product cycle, and the ability to engage with customer and partner with a positive and win win relationship.
Requirements include:
- 5+ years of professional experience in designing, developing and shipping high quality commercial product
- 2+ years program management experience, with strong track record in project management, excellent time management and organization skills, and the ability to think holistically and critically
- Strong technical background and problem solving skills, and solid foundation on software engineering principles and software design.
- Passion for deliver end-to-end solutions/services for small and medium businesses
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English, and the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and disciplines.
- BS/BA or MS in Computer Science, engineering or related disciplines preferred.
