The position is with China Cloud Innovation Center (CCIC) under Microsoft Server and Tools Business China (STBC), and is based in Shanghai.

To address the unique opportunity offered by the Cloud transformation in China, STBC established CCIC with the mission of “Winning Cloud in China”. CCIC works in partnership with China Sales, Marketing and Service Group (SMSG) as well as the product groups to bring MS Cloud offerings to China market.

One of the key focuses for the team is to drive “last-mile” cloud innovation with the goals of enabling China SMSG to better integrate MS cloud technology and tools into local ecosystem, helping land key cloud technology in China and incubating some cloud solutions unique to China market. The job will not only provide opportunity to grow you as an expert in developing Cloud product but also enable you to gain valuable insights into China Cloud ecosystem.

We are looking for strong engineers who can develop cutting-edge innovations in the cloud computing space. The candidate should be energetic, motivated and a self-starter with a strong focus on getting things done. The candidate should be customer driven - clearly understanding customer requirements and incorporating them in the design. The candidate should be able to design and build high quality features that are robust, scalable, fault tolerant and supportable. The candidate should also work well in the collaborative team environment with peer PMs and SDETs, and often times the work also involves close collaboration with Redmond product team.

Job Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience building software and/or services.
- Demonstrated problem solving and debugging skills.
- Broad knowledge of algorithms and data structures.
- Superb design and coding experience that includes development in C++/C# and with distributed programming models.
- Demonstrated ability and commitment to deliver features on schedule with high quality and with engineering discipline.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks while balancing short term and long term needs.
- Good communication skills for effective collaboration with others.
- Experience with system modeling and architecting large platform level components is a plus.
- An undergraduate degree in CS, engineering, or related field is required.
