Job Description
• Participate in the development and administration of chemical, radiation, biological and general safety programs
• Maintain all required HSE records and documents in accordance with regulatory and internal requirements
• Assist in preparing and submitting applications and renewals for regulatory permits and licenses
• Develop and administer training related to specific HSE topics for employee education and awareness
• Ensure accurate collection and data entry of HSE key performance indicators
• Perform periodic laboratory inspections to ensure compliance with company policies, as well as, local, provincial and national regulations
• Participate as a member of the Emergency Response Team; in addition, help develop and refine the Emergency Response Plan
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned
requirements
• BS degree or above in biology, chemistry or related engineering areas. Specialized training in health, safety and/or environmental areas preferred. Recognized certifications a plus.
• Previous HSE or equivalent experience in a MNC with China operation is preferred
• 2+ years working as a HSE professional in a biotech or research laboratory environment
• Fluent in Mandarin and English
