Position Title: Research Associate (3rd Party Contractor)

Job Description:

We are seeking for highly motivated and talent Scientist or Research Associate to fill a position for cancer translational research at China Novartis Institute for Biomedical Research. The role of the position is to work in a team environment to explore and validate oncogenic targets in in vitro models and provide rationales for in vivo and clinical investigations of cancer drug candidates. The job function assumes part of the efforts to provide and integrate genomic and molecular and cellular biology evidence in advancing drug development for cancer therapies. The responsibilities of the person include establishing primary human cell lines, performing in vitro cell-based assays for pharmacological and molecular characterization of cancer cells in connection to corresponding mutational profiles, and data maintenance and presentation. The successful candidate should be able to demonstrate learning capability, good communication and interpersonal skills, and cooperation in team environment.

Minimum requirements:

? Advanced training (Ph.D. or MS) in molecular and cellular biology, or bachelor degree in biomedical or clinical sciences with 3 years of research experience in pharmaceutical industry;

? Intensive hands-on experience in common cellular and molecular biology techniques;

? Able to run multiple projects and deliver results in a timely manner for decision-making;

? Prior research experience in primary cell culture, cancer biology, and signaling transduction is preferred.
