• Understands company inventory targets by site and evaluates forecasted revenue against open purchase commitments and stock on hand to determine likely outcomes
• Data investigation into the causes of excess or slow moving inventory, assist in the disposition of dead inventory
• Facilitates the transfer of inventory between sites to support product line transfers
• Collaborates with stakeholders to establish new processes to govern the accumulation of non-MRP generated inventory through various supply strategies, i.e., safety stock, MOQ, planning BOM’s
• Assists Supply Chain in the implementation of new supply strategies and inventory reduction initiatives, i.e., kanban, VMI, Supplier owned safety stock
• Assist in the analysis and execution of returns to vendor of excess inventory
• Analyzes and monitors order policy to maximize receiving efficiency and minimize cash outlays
• Monitors cycle count accuracy by site, ABC code accuracy and buyer execution of push/pull/cancel suggestions by MRP
