CREATIVE manager /- DESIGN MANAGER

(M/F), Guangzhou (China), Per Direct (October 2017)

We look for a European design manager with design director skills or willing to develop these in China (Guangzhou).

Orange Branding is a Dutch brand design agency in China that works with two types of clients:

1) Chinese companies that want to become an international brand

2) Foreign brands that want to enter the Chinese market

We provide our clients with brand services that range from strategy (positioning, brand strategy, innovation) up to market activation set-up. In-house we manage the design processes of: VI/CI, product & packaging design, retail design, digital design (ui/ux), marketing touch-points.

We are part of an international network with a HQ in Amsterdam with 80 people (designers and account managers); and we have 15 people in Guangzhou.

Ideally you are from Delft University (IO), but not necessarily, and have 5-7 years of design work experience in China. You will work and live in Guangzhou, where our office is in the Pazhou Westin Hotel next to the large Canton Fair expo area.

You will work on projects in various industries like: Consumer electronics, lighting, FMCG, automotive, home deco, luxury, jewelry, homeware, etc.

Your job will also include management tasks and work closely with the account managers, CEO, expert advisers and European partner in Amsterdam. However, your main job is to manage and guide the designers and work alongside with them on executing design projects. You must have a natural curiosity and have excellent design skills and able to work in 2D and 3D software.

You do speak fluent English but Chinese is not required but an asset.

You will work in our Guangzhou Pazhou Westin Hotel office.

The remuneration will be based on your actual experience and portfolio.

Salary range will be 1,500 – 2,500 US$.

This is an excellent job to grow into the role of design manager and overall office or country design director. Ideally, you also have business development skills and have ambition to become partner of Orange Branding in China.
