岗位职责:

Scope of DH: (adult and pediatric patient)
Take peri-apical , Bite wing, occlusal, Panoramic, Ceph X-ray
Take vital signs, blood pressure and take medical history
intraoral soft tissue and exam including oral cancer screening
extra-oral head and neck region exam
oral hard tissue exam
periodontal exam, and full mouth charting
preliminary treatment plan
patient education in ALL aspect of dentistry for adult and children
take Alginate impression for Study model, ortho model, bleaching tray, space maintainer, night guard
perform supra-gingival scaling and sub-gingival scaling with cavitron, hand instrument
fabricate temporary crown, putting temporary restoration such as IRM or cavit to a non-vital tooth, mixing cement
pediatric prophy, fluoride treatment, sealant and home care instruction

Procedures NOT permitted at this clinic at this time
give any type of local anesthetic injection to both adult and pediatric patient
give antibiotic and pain medication or any other prescription medication.
No occlusal adjustment using high speed or low speed handpieces.
Impression for crown and bridge or final impression of any type for restorative dentistry.
Establish Recall system.

Following UFH’s commitment to educating the next generation of medical professionals, physicians will be responsible, as part of their ongoing duties, for mentoring, precepting, teaching and supervising UFH fellows or other relevant trainees.

Additional job responsibilities as assigned by supervisor, department chair or CMO.

Will agree to serve on at least one hospital/clinic committee.

Works on quality improvement activities within the department in collaboration with other physicians and Department Chairperson.

Exemplifies highest levels of professionalism and medical ethics in every aspect of his or her work and relationships.
